Infallibilist Foundationalism
All knowledge must rest on basic beliefs that are certain in themselves.
What it claims
Foundationalism divides justified beliefs into two kinds: basic beliefs, which are justified on their own without depending on other beliefs, and superstructure beliefs, which receive their support from them. The strong version treated here demands more of basic beliefs. They must be not only non-inferential but infallible or incorrigible.
