Coherentism
A belief is justified by how it fits with the belief system as a whole.
What it claims
Coherentism locates the source of justification not in the privileged status of individual beliefs but in the coherence of the belief system as a whole. Coherence is not mere consistency. It is the degree of explanatory interconnection, inferential support, and conceptual integration.
