Bayesianism
Belief comes in degrees and is updated by conditionalization on the evidence.
What it claims
Bayesianism expresses epistemic attitudes not as a true/false dichotomy but as credences between 0 and 1. Those credences must satisfy the probability axioms, and when new evidence is obtained they must be updated by conditionalization. This position denies the picture of theory evaluation as the dichotomous event of falsification, and the idea that belief does not come in degrees.
